What we do with what you send us.
Legion Ltd is the controller for the details you submit through this site. This notice says what is collected, why, who else handles it and how to have it removed. It describes what the site actually does, not what a template says.
What we collect
Only what a quotation needs.
Company name
To know who the requirement is for and to quote against the right account.
Your name and role
So a reply reaches the person who asked.
Email address
The reply goes here. It is set as the reply-to on the message that reaches the desk.
Telephone number, if you give one
Optional. Used only when a requirement is urgent enough that email is too slow.
The requirement itself
What you are asking for: the description, the delivery location, dates, vessel or site details, brands, and whether substitutes are acceptable.
Attachments
Stores lists, bills of quantities, drawings or photographs: up to 8 files, in .pdf, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx, .jpg, .jpeg, .png.
Your IP address
Held briefly in memory to rate-limit the form. It is not stored, not logged to a file and not attached to your enquiry.
Nothing is measured
There are no cookies on this site, no analytics, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing you do here is measured or profiled, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
If you are offering to supply
A registration asks for different things.
The supplier form at /vendors is not the enquiry form. It collects what a buying desk needs to decide whether to send you a requirement, and it is held for as long as you are a supplier we might come back to.
Company, country and website
To know who is offering to supply, where they are, and to check they are a real trading business before anything is quoted against them.
Your name, role, email and telephone
So the buying desk reaches the person who can answer a question about a line.
Categories and regions
What you supply and where you can deliver it. This is the part that decides whether a requirement is ever sent to you.
Brands, certifications, minimum order and lead time
The commercial facts a buyer needs before putting your name against a line on a quotation.
Anything you attach
A catalogue, a price list, a certificate: up to 8 files, in .pdf, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx, .jpg, .jpeg, .png.
What it is not
Registering does not put you on a marketing list. It is not a contract and it is not a commitment to buy. Ask and we will remove your registration.
Why we may hold it
To answer the enquiry you sent.
The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry, and, where a quotation leads to an order, the steps taken at your request before a contract. The tick box on the form is an acknowledgement of this notice, not consent to marketing.
We do not send marketing email from anything submitted here. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own purposes, and we never will.
Who else handles it
- Resend
- Delivers the enquiry to our operations inbox. Your details pass through it as the content of that message.
- Vercel
- Hosts this site and processes the request that carries your submission.
Both operate outside the United Kingdom. Details of the transfer arrangements are available on request.
Your rights
Ask, and we answer within a month.
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Write to info@legionship.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
How long we keep it. Enquiries are held for as long as they are commercially useful and are reviewed periodically. If you would like yours removed sooner, ask and we will remove it.
